CONFERENCIA GENERAL!!!!! (Letter from April 8, 2013)

Okay my bonita familia!!!

This week went by way too fast.  Romney, I am sorry you were transferred.  My companion and I are praying to the lord for next week not to transfer us!!!! We have so many families we want to help and baptize. So, Romney I know how you are feeling right now. Good luck. 

So this week as I said has been fast. We taught some great lessons with our investigators.  It was amazing!!! One person, Silvio has gone five days without drinking!!! YA!!!!!  But..... he only came to one session of General Conference. We are not sure what happened with the others.  Our investigator that was baptized when I first got here he came as well. We have a new little family, a mother and a daughter. Marta and Welska.  Anyways the daughter came to two sessions!  Yeah amazing.  She tried so hard to get her mom to come to the first one.  And, the second one she did come to!!  Also David came to one.  It was absolutely perfect.  The talks were just for them.  We also had another mother and her three daughters come to one session. We tried to set baptism fechas with them. But they said they need more time to learn.  So we will continue to work with them.  I was able to watch how the spirit worked with them.  There were seven of us that were able to watch Conferencia in English.  And I was the only sister!!!  hahaha.

Anyways.....it was just amazing. Brie, you are so right those two talks were amazing. They were all so powerful.  They were absolutely amazing.  Also, the counsel I gave in the last letter…there was a talk about that same subject.  Landon and Romney and Brie....it’s so true!! I don´t know why I didn´t appreciate conferencia before. I really just want to listen to them all again.  It really is so important when you are out in the mission field.  It changed so much.  The meaning of actualmente listening.  I wish I didn´t take it for granted before.  I wrote so many notes.  All the talks were for everyone.  Especially for all of you.  I know it in my heart.  If you don’t think all those talks were for you LISTEN, PONDER, PRAY, and you will know each talk was for you.  If you are not obedient to these talks listen to what the consequences are!!!!! You will not receive blessings. 

I know that you have trust in your family members, but the question is HOW MUCH, HOW MUCH trust do you have in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and your Heavenly Father?  What I mean is by this is, how much trust do you have to be obedient to the commandments He told us through the speakers in Conference, to receive those blessings.  I really do understand you all work and have jobs to support your family.  But, take a step back and ask your self this.  What can I do better to follow the example of Jesus Christ? And, what is more important? My Heavenly Father, my savior Jesus Christ, and my family, or the world--the politics, and what not? I really do invite each and everyone that reads this to act on the things that were commanded to us in this month’s conferencia.  Also ponder, pray, listen, and you will receive. Like the scripture says about knock and the door will be opened, ask and you will receive.   Always remember He comes first.  Always, always remember.  He wants to hear your prayers.  There is nothing more powerful than to pray and receive that warmth through the Holy Ghost as you wait with patience.  It’s the things here on earth that we do that will count towards eternity.
Remember I know this gospel is true.  I cannot deny it.  My Heavenly Father knows I cannot deny it.  The light of Christ is the only way out of darkness.  I know prayer is so powerful that he listens.  I know Jesus Christ died for us to give us the opportunity to live with him someday.  I know that as we act in fe we can fill the spirit’s power but also know he is there.  I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father.  There is no other god that would love us this much to send us here on earth to learn.  He is my Redeemer, my Savior, and my life.  There is only one way back to live with family and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.  It is the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I cannot deny that. 
Well, I am out of time.  Remember no news is bad news.  I love you all. Ponder pray and act.  Also, I think it’s Matt. 7:27, the story of the wise man who builds his house upon a rock and the foolish man. Read and ponder.  Ask yourself which one do you want to be.  I love you all. Hasta proxima semana.
